Rev. Meredith Syler

Rev. Meredith SylerRaised in the deep south of Dothan, Alabama, the Reverend Meredith Syler comes to Trinity Episcopal Parish after her graduation from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois.

Meredith’s love of Jesus and the Episcopal Church was nurtured in her family, and a calling to the Priesthood was born while she was in college at Appalachian State University in the high, airy mountains of Boone, North Carolina. The parish community of Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Boone took her in and showed her the life-transforming love of a Christian parish family, and Meredith looks forward to sharing that love in Charles County as well as helping it grow among the people of Trinity and Oldfields.

Ordained a (transitional) Deacon on 9 June 2007 by the Rt. Reverend G. Porter Taylor, Bishop of Western North Carolina, Meredith is a dedicated runner, excellent (and experimental) cook, avid reader, cross-stitcher and cat lover. At the close of the day, you can find her and her husband, the Rev. Greg Syler, sitting on white rocking chairs on the relaxing front porch of their Rectory at Saint George’s Episcopal Church in Valley Lee, Maryland – sipping Saint Mary’s County wine and enjoying one another’s companionship.
